Stupid Waiting.

Doesn't take much to irritate some of us, ya know. Expecting someone to show up since a little after 3:30 and she still has not shown up. Argh! Don't like to answer the door after dark, but if she waits much longer, it WILL be dark. So, my .38 is in the top desk drawer. Would rather not have that on my mind, either. But money exchanged or not, will be glad when she either shows up or not. And it's almost time to shut the chicken house doors. She just called and said she is still coming. sigh

Have been reading another "whodunit" type today. Good book this time. It is one of a series. The main character is a former detective sergeant with the NYPD who got injured in the line of duty. His girlfriend-fiancé is with the white collar division of the FBI. Interesting combination. And his half brother is a Catholic priest who loves to play detective while sitting in their mutually owned Irish pub. Gotta laugh at some of the situations in this book. But the fact that one of their prime investigators is madly infatuated with the priest is one of the grins throughout the book. Yep, folks are definitely funny.

The dogs have been on a tear today. Had my dust mop out fighting off the dust bunnies this morning, and one of the dogs ran around the deep freeze to get out the door to chase a dog on the street alongside the fence--pulled the doggy water bowl of two gallons cross ways spilling water before it flopped back on its base. It made me wish the dust mop would have worked instead of having to get a towel out. Those dogs! If it is not one thing, it is four!

Have the chickens shut up for the night and took a phone call from Sterling. He asked me if any of his classmates had passed on. Not sure how it would have been made known to me, but could only remember one older guy that we went to school with that did not come back from Vietnam. Can't remember his name now, but Grandmother Pollard was friends with her. Strange name, but can't recall it now. Isn't it weird how much we forget and can only remember little bits of things.

Don't know much of anything tonight except that tomorrow Michelle Malay may come by for eggs. Ready for her to get here despite the fact that the hens have been on a iffy schedule lately. If it is sunny, they might lay eggs--or not. Go figure. It is supposed to have something to do with how much sunlight they get, but who knows. They don't share that information with me. They surely share the fertilizer, however!

For now, will tell you that our prayers are needed more than ever with the way this virus is killing folks. Not that we needed anything else to affect our lives. So may you all be blessed with good health and happiness. Until later, you are loved.
