Creative Dog Dinners.
Yep, they like scrambled eggs, hamburger meat, chicken meat,
and just about anything that the old woman will eat—including cottage cheese.
Now, let me tell you that those eggs are less expensive than so many things
they could eat. So, dogs get to share scrambled eggs and a bite of bacon each
for breakfast some days. Haven’t decided if a trip to United for a sack of thighs
and legs will be necessary this next week or not. It is simply too hot to get
out and about, Dear Hearts!
My sweet neighbors came over to visit and brought some See’s
Chocolates to me today. Laisha was wearing the prettiest sun dress. But then,
she is so young and cute that she would look good in a potato sack!! Max just
got another stripe or whatever for his next rank. If he keeps this up, he will
be running things—not that he would want to!! But the kids also said that they
would be helping with the Hotter ‘N’ Hell again this year. They work with the
medical sag wagons for those who need help. They very sweetly brought squeaky
toys for my dogs today. Then they got to watch Sylvia eat a great big chunk out
of one. No more squeaky!
Other than the fact that it is hotter than a two-dollar
pistol, really don’t know anything. Michelle Malay said she did not believe
that the wind was moving out her way at all. It is slightly over 5 mph here
right now, but it has not eliminated any of the hot, for sure! Summer time has
its benefits, but being able to go outside is not one of them. At least we don’t
have the horrible smoke that California has right now. We can breathe! Just
have to feel sorry for those folks—especially if the fires get into the
electric lines.
Right now, it seems to me that we should all be praying for
peace in this nation as well as around the world. Some of us just have to stay
away from the news since nothing has any uplifting or joyful elements to it.
And we can only watch so many cute kitten videos. Would love to think that we
could just love our neighbors and be as kind as possible to everyone we meet.
Am reminded again: God and prayer. We can ask. His answer
may not be what we expect, but He will answer.
Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
