Vacation, Staycation, Playcation?
Ever just felt like not doing anything? Absolutely, uselessly,
definitely less than ambitious? Well, meet the older version of that person or
critter. The heat is not quite as bad; the energy to get things done has flown
the coop; the intention has oozed out the cracks in demeanor; and the old woman
has left her heart in a shady place that can’t be reached.
FB can only exert so much influence, but even that lacks
appeal at the moment. Doing the minimum required for life and limb for critters
and critter sitter seems promising, so perhaps you all will be happy to watch
the sunsets, sunrises, coffee and breakfasts, birds in situ, and other happily
captured images along with assorted poems and smiles from Keith. He seems to have
energy and good mood to spare. Let’s give him some appreciation for his
efforts.
Maybe in a few days the mood encompassing this residence
will change or the weather will lighten the load. Avoiding the computer might
help just a smidge to prevent hostility and rebellion, too. Let me put it as
clearly as possible: the old woman is tired and a little bit grumpy. God gave
us the different moods, but He did not tell us to inflict them upon others.
Maybe the mood will change soon, but for the time being, pick up a good book or
the Good Book.
Pray for the children and teachers, parents and bus
drivers, cooks and custodians. Let us cover them in love as He has covered us.
