Possibilities.
The old body aches tonight as if it had been busy digging
ditches or some such. Silly stuff! Maybe just listening to the wind whip around
the house and bang the chicken coop doors shut is enough to strain muscles or
one’s nerves! Whew! Sylvia was so upset with the wind that she kept hiding her
head in my lap. Finally, she got up in the rocking chair with me! Now THAT took
some maneuvering, Dear Hearts!
Patty said Roxy saw a squirrel out running down the driveway
but only barked and refused to go outside. Yep, this wind is enough to blow her
off the hill. Then the trash man came and unloaded our bins which promptly fell
over and rolled around in the road! And the weather forecast calls for more of
this stuff tomorrow. If a bit of rain fell with all that wind, it would dry out
before it hit the ground!
Patty looked online for me to check that my tax payment had
made it in to the tax office. Sure enough. The old woman owes zero for her
taxes now. Guess that means that they saw the account numbers on the line
indicating why the money paid. So glad for homestead exemption and old age
benefits!
Lance sent a picture of the new “mascot” from work today.
Not sure exactly what kind of lizard it is, but the neon green color was quite
attractive. Gorgeous Green George! Imagine looking down at your keyboards and
having that stick its tongue out at you!
Have some goat milk soap to share with my kids. Tomorrow, if
memory kicks in, will cut one bar and give Patty half of it. It is a lavender smelling
shampoo bar. Yum! Smells so good and makes my hair feel soft. Have a trial size
of the soap for washing clothes, too. Will try that as soon as a load
materializes and memory stirs. This getting old sometimes means that things
happen and forgetfulness occurs at the same time. Sigh. Guess getting old beats
the alternative, huh.
When asked, Sterling said that his friend George is still in
the hospital. Have been praying that he will be healed and be able to come back
home soon. He and Sterling have a great friendship and seem to really enjoy one
another. God gives us friends for a reason. It is another part of His love
toward us. It’s a little bit like having more family—brothers and sisters in
Christ. Let us remember those tonight who are healing and need to be healed
whether young or old. Our Father watches over all of us each day and night. May
His kingdom come soon.
Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
