And THAT Was How It Was!

And THAT Was How It Was!

First, the old woman thought her appointment was at 10:30, and it was not until 11. Oh well. At least she was happy with the blood sugar and no discussion of concern about that. Just got to start taking vitamin D once a week. Go figure. Love sunshine, but it blisters me so fast it is not funny! Oh well.

Had brunch with Patty earlier and truly enjoyed her beef soup. She put enough pepper in that stuff to open sinuses in Mexico! She said that Donny (her husband) always thought she used a bit too much pepper. It didn’t matter to me. Surely was good stuff!

Think Shona is really looking forward to having her mom here for Thanksgiving. She is just so blessed to still have her mom with her. Know she hears her mom’s voice in her mind every day, but then, she talks to her every day on the phone. Neat to be so close!

Damien’s parents sent some Mexican wedding cookies with him for our gathering the other day. Guess who is still nibbling on those cookies!! Talk about yummy!

Got home from the doctor’s office and found my new Bissell vacuum on the front porch. That is just amazing that they replaced the entire vacuum! That is the kind of company that a person can appreciate!

Yesterday afternoon, the old woman went out back to take the water hose off the faucet, and it broke. Immediately called Wilbourn and McCabe and their secretary had two men here within thirty minutes. SO glad they could repair this mess that quickly. The faucet must have come over on the Ark because it was what he called “a quarter turn” faucet. Knew it was handy to use, but had no idea it was an antique!

Picked up the prescription for a UTI, and the stupid insurance company questioned why they needed to fill it. Duh. The doctor prescribed it! Makes me want to slap someone up the side of their head! But it was not that difficult to be polite to the pharmacy clerk, so the pills came home with me. Sometimes insurance companies deserve to have their teeth rattled! One of the prescriptions was for 60 pills, but the insurance only allowed 56 pills to be given. Nope. Not stupid, just asinine!

Discussing the possible cease-fire talks with Lebanon with Patty, we came to the same conclusion: you simply cannot compromise or try to deal with terrorists. It makes me shiver to read the Revelation, but at the same time, it is reassuring to know that God is ALWAYS in control. Whether it is our family that we would love to shield or our nation, we can ask and God will give us His mercy. Praise be His name!

Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
