A Family Gathering.
Just a brief update for all of you: Anne became quite lucid
today and wanted her family around her. So, her daughter Lesli texted all of
us. Spent quite a bit of the day with them and left the nursing home around
six. Her son Erin spent the morning with me yesterday, and he asked Jennifer to
come visit with him this evening. She will be over here later this evening. Anne’s
cousin Vickie should be over at Henrietta by now, and her best friend Beverly
came this afternoon to be with her for a while. Tilak and Anne’s three
grandsons and her dog Snoop spent part of the day with her as well this
morning. My son Lance is in Corpus and plans to be over in Henrietta in the morning.
The nurses have been so very good to Anne and her family. They truly care. But
Jennifer and Lesli both agreed that they never wanted to spend another day in
that nursing home. Can’t imagine why—only our family doesn’t have any more
folks who will ever need to be in Clay County again for that service. Will post
tomorrow if and when this situation is finished.
Please pray for peace.
