Homebody, and Home Girl.
Ah! Perfect day! My daughter came to spend the afternoon and
night with me! We went to Lowe’s and found a flower pot and some other things.
Now to get everything done tomorrow that has to be done before she returns to
the Metromess. She was hoping that the Northern Lights would be visible
tonight, but we have a pretty good cloud cover. And then tomorrow she will be
back down where they have all that light pollution. Ah. Life goes on.
We went to McBride’s and had a good steak dinner. Haven’t
been there in umpteen years. Jenn said she was not sure she had EVER been
there. It has changed some, but mostly it was pretty noisy and busy this
evening. Guess everyone was celebrating Mother’s Day or whatever. The waiter made
very fast passes about three times, but he still took care of things. And the
broccoli salad was splendid. Haven’t had a steak that good in ages. Not like it
would pay to go there very often, but this time it was perfect.
Really don’t know much except that it has been quite a day
and am very ready to rest for the evening. So very thankful for all the
wonderful people and family in my life. If it continues to rain like it has
been for the rest of this month, we may even have filled up lakes in this part
of the world. Noticed that Bruce Major has his boats out on Lake Nocona, so all
is right with his world! Most folks feel that way when the water has risen and
the lakes fill with fish and fishermen. Time to relax.
Let us rejoice in all things and remember that all blessings
come from our Father in Heaven!
Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
