One More Vaccine!
Tried to go for the flu shot that was scheduled for today,
but it was Labor Day. So, tomorrow will be the flu shot. Maybe the RSV next
week. Just not skippy, dippy, happy to do any kind of vaccination to tell the
truth. Oh well. It is better than having the real live flu. That stuff can mess
a person up in a hurry!
Haven’t accomplished anything, but have enjoyed the weather
and reading today. Downloaded two more books in a series that was started two
days ago. Will try to remember the name of the author some other time, but most
folks would not like this series anyway. It is about how the world succumbed to
a plague and over 150 years have passed. Today’s times are collectively called “The
Glory Days” because they had electricity and all the different kinds of
transportation and ways of doing things. One of the main characters goes on
what he calls “digs” into the buildings that have been taken over by plants.
His favorite place is called a library! Imagine that. But he has learned so
much as he is trying to become a type of doctor to take care of people and
animals. That is the sort of thing that makes for interesting reading.
Really don’t know anything worth mentioning today. Patty and
the old woman talked for a bit this morning and nodded our heads to the idea
that the world is going to HEdouble toothpick in a handbasket. So, we are
gathering up handbaskets now. Have one egg basket and someone’s white basket
that came with flowers in it once upon a time. The flowers must have had that
green stuff in the bottom to hold the water because it still had some of that
crumbly stuff in it. That’s about how much good a handbasket can be—can’t even
hold flowers.
Let us trust in God and keep praying for peace and His will
to be done.
Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
