Pulling the Blankets Over My Head.
Ok, my daughter just introduced me to project 2025 and some
of the garbage in that interesting document(s). Sounds like rural America is
going to the dogs; women don’t own the rights to their own bodies (not sure
they ever have, understand); and the tax system is just another type of
give me, give me, give me. She was concerned that we would be going backwards
toward the 50s when women were unable to have credit cards, bank accounts, or
ownership of properties, but that particular part did not come up in the area
presented on the fact checker site. Honestly, America has done some pretty dumb
things and folks have come up with some “solutions” that are almost worse than
the problems, but from what was posted online, this is one project that needs a
ditch. Sometimes it is an actual relief to believe that the old woman won’t be
around much longer.
Now, all that worrying mess put aside, reading in Galatians
today reminded me that we have a certain mindset to work on: Gal. 5:14-15. For all
the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as
thyself. (14) But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not
consumed one of another. (15) Democrats and Republicans or Independents or
whatever! Don’t stand around and lie about each other and find fault unless it
can be truly proven by testimony of two or more. Listen. Think. “Let all
bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away
from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted,
forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Eph. 4:31-32
If our lives were lived in truth, in being capable of giving
our word and not being duplicitous, we would be a stronger nation. Unless we
turn as individuals to God’s truth and His way, we as a people, as a nation, will
fall. May God forgive us!
Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
