Wild Weather Ahead!
Saw online a few minutes ago that the Route 66 Group thinks
our weather is going to be bad this next week and they want to delay our
meeting until February 13. Seems reasonable to me. Shortly after that, FB
tossed me out and said I had done something or someone got into my account.
Stuff like that makes me want to use fowl (yeah, the chicken kind of) language.
Got one more shipment of dog bed stuff this morning. Got
down on my knees—like an idiot—to attempt to straighten up Sylvia’s crate for
her. Finally got the bedding fixed to suit me, but then had to get off the
floor. Oh joy!
It does look like it could rain today, but do not plan to go
get feed unless it actually rains. Could just use up what is here for now if
necessary. Have just about emptied up one big trash can of the high protein
feed that is in the middle coop. Can always just take the feeder to the
workshop to fill it. Guess it could be put in a different container for inside
the front coop, for that matter. Oh well. At least the water was not frozen
this morning.
Saw a picture on FB of two boys who had broken open some hay
bales and made a snow hen sitting on the nest of hay. SO cute! Kids can come up
with some of the darndest ideas!
Well, thunder and lightning is on a roll! Both dogs would
like to be under my desk, thank you very much! And no, it is not big enough
under there for two dogs. Thinking we need some comfort food—cheese and chips!
At least the noise is not as bad as those F-35s that fly over!
Well, one nap and a couple of phone calls later . . . dogs
have been fed and the eggs gathered. Not going to have very many to send home
with Lance this time. A thing on the computer (AOL) said that the price of eggs
in some places was nearly $10 per dozen. That is just horrible! I know the feed
is out of sight expensive, but still!
I can’t seem to quit sneezing, so it’s probably going to be
a good week to stay away from anyone. Probably just allergies from all this
good wind. Michelle Malay said they barely had more than just a breeze out her
way. Guess living on this lake makes a big difference since nothing stops the
wind blowing hard up this hill. Noticed that one of the trees near the highway
had split off a large branch. At least it did not fly off into the road.
We know that God is in control of all things, even if we can
believe that things could be much better in certain situations. Just so long as
God is in control—which He always IS—whatever comes along will be for the best
in the long run. His plans always are best. Just ask Joshua! The Israelites
were given Canaan, the most fruitful place for their nation. They could see it
through human eyes, but God saw it in His own way.
Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
