Another Froggy Day.

 Another Froggy Day.

Katy messaged me early this morning that she had been jerked down by one of the dogs yesterday and could not walk, so she won’t be coming today, but her husband is going to pick up all these bags of things for the dogs. Then Patty called and said she wanted to wait at least another week before taking Roxie in to see the vet. So, my day has completely changed just this morning.

Woke up to heavy fog outside. The sun may eventually shine, but for the moment, it is like a thick veil between my house and Patty’s place. Amazing not to even be able to see the lake! Have plenty to do around here without needing to travel.

It really gets to me when my internet says that it is not connected. Reboot, and then go unplug the stupid button to the little black box and hope! ARGH!! Makes no sense whatsoever, but there it is.

Nothing has turned out the way this day was supposed to go, but have decided it simply does not matter. And the same may be true of tomorrow as well. Maybe a good night’s sleep will make a difference in my attitude at least.

Apparently, the flu is making the rounds—type A or type B? Who knows. You can almost bet that if we got the vaccine for A, it will be B that is flying our way. Such is life. Let’s just pray for those that get this mess—especially the littles and elders.

Down another hen today. She had water on her body, and Roger sent me a video about how to get rid of it, but that doesn’t get rid of what causes it. Sterling said it is better to lose a sick one than take a chance on the entire flock getting whatever she had. Sigh. Sometimes it makes me wonder about how these things spread. Yes, wild birds out the kazoo around here, but this is not a symptom of that stuff. Just rather not have to buy eggs or even chicken meat if it is so easily spread. Hoping that God will protect us all from these diseases.

Forgive me for writing nothing positive tonight. The old woman is simply tired and feeling ready to see some sunshine. Green grass is beginning to show up, but really need some vitamin D from the sun. Let us praise God for seasons and sunshine.

Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
