Just Waiting for My Girl.

 Just Waiting for My Girl.

Jennifer is on her way to my house currently. Sitting here thinking about what to feed her for dinner. Have frozen meals—roast beef, rice/broccoli chicken meals, and even a pizza around here. Guess it will depend on what she wants.

Kathy’s husband came around 8 this morning to pick up several bags of dog things: towels, blankets, dog beds, and some treats. He had a load to put in his truck anyway. Hoping that Kathy feels much better after being jerked down on her ribs and hip. After 50, nothing is so easy as to lie down and groan! It just is not easy to bounce back the way we did when we were younger.

Started on Revelation again. Each time requires me to do research on terms. Apparently, the Nicolatans believed in immoral sex (fornication) and eating meats offered to idols. If we go back into other places in the NT, we can see that the purchase of meat in the markets was not forbidden, but to purposely buy meat offered to idols would have been something else again. However, fornication is forbidden in every manner. Some of these folks seemed to overthink things to excuse their behavior. The idea that fornication was perfectly forgivable after the eighth day is just stupidity. It reminds me that Congress has a fund for the members who are accused of sexual misconduct that covers any legal action against them simply because they are a member of Congress. And Americans pay that bill!! So, it looks as if they are excused from bad sexual conduct.

It was grey again today. Would certainly enjoy seeing some sunshine and warmth, but it looks as if we may get some rain and then freezing weather next week including the Thursday that we had hoped to have the Route 66 Group meeting. That may go by the wayside. Sigh

Guess it is time for me to admit that spring has not even considered springing forward. Think the clocks go forward on the 17th of this month. The hens don’t really give a cluck what the clocks say. They get up when it is daylight and go to roost when it starts getting less light out. Then there are a few who insist on jumping the gate and scratching up the tulip and other bulbs in the front yard. Sigh. Oh well. They are happy hens.

Let us pray for those who are dealing with this flu and other illnesses right now. No one wants to be sick, but it takes being really careful to avoid illnesses.

Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
