The old woman is tired. Took a nap this afternoon and still feel the need to be still and just rest. Got wheat, sunflower seeds, and lay mash put into the bins, so we are ready for the cold weather. Had put down some hay the other day and the girls decided it was there for laying purposes. Oh boy! Found a nest full of eggs—12 to be exact. Will have to check carefully tomorrow or have messes all over the place. Anyway, trying to keep it warmer in the coops for the girls.

 

Thinking about the fact that God has given us the opportunity to pray to Him. He listens and answers. When we are this tired—or even more so—we know that He can feel just how far we can push ourselves. Sometimes it feels like a good time to just be still. That is my aim for this afternoon. Just being still and resting. Let us praise His name and be thankful for His rest.
