Here’s Hoping.
Made some good gravy with the drippings from the roasts
cooked yesterday. It was just enough for one small pan, but that was enough.
Had some roasted potatoes with onions along with slices of roast beef. Anyway,
it was a good brunch. Then some kind of Chinese stuff with squash, peppers, and
more onions for din-upper worked out pretty well. Most of that is back in the
fridge for leftovers that will do for breakfast. Chinese noodles have a
tendency to be just a bit chewy—which is ok. But the veggies and chicken chunks
are not overpowered by the noodles. The dogs would be happy to enjoy most of
the noodles—probably.
My little CooCoo Marans that has not been able to get on the
roost is still doing fair to middlin’. She may need some “water drainage” like
a video that Roger sent to me. Found a needle that would probably work, but
really hate to attempt to drain her like the lady on the video did to her hen. Taking
care of livestock—or just the pets in the house—can be pretty hard to do. Once in
a while, Sylvia gets her bite of Wuffles or whatever stuck down beside her
teeth, and the old woman has to go fishing to get it out so she can finish
eating it. So far she has not bitten me.
Truly am hoping the plumber makes it here tomorrow. SO very
tired of cleaning my teeth in the kitchen rather than in the bathroom. Sometimes
it makes me wonder how folks took care of their teeth years ago when they did
not have indoor plumbing. You know, the Bible says that God puts us in the “times”
in which He has chosen to have us live, and has set before us the things which He
has chosen for us to do. It reminds me that he set boundaries for certain
kingdoms and things which they would accomplish. Curious way to have one’s life
foreordained—both world governments and individual lives.
Will remind you about Daniel who saved all the lives of the
Magi—the ones who told the king what would happen. They had no clue what the
king dreamed, so he was going to have them ALL put to death. Daniel asked for
one night and said that God would let him know. And He did. Daniel proved that
God was with him by letting him know what the king had dreamed and what it
meant. So, Daniel became almost like a king in those kingdoms. The rest of the
magi had to respect that Daniel know what he was talking about. DANIEL was the
one who taught them from that point on. And they believed him. He let them know
that a king would be born, and they would follow a star to the place that he
would be found. Sure enough, six hundred years after Daniel taught them, the Magi
came from the East to honor the king. Pretty interesting.
Let us remember to pray for those who are fighting the
diseases of this world. Let us try to protect ourselves and our families from
the chemicals that have caused so much distress in our food and water.
Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
