Oh! Happy Dance!
We got a monumental clap of thunder this morning early on
and then a rain to follow. It didn’t really measure in my rain gauge, so who
knows how much we got. Nonetheless, it was wet and much needed. And, from the
forecast for the next few days, it will be cooler and possibly wet again. Not
looking forward to temps over 90 any time soon.
Just put two more eggs in a carton intended to be two dozen.
Set those on top of a carton of 18 that will probably go to Dr. Blackwell. She
usually stops by on Friday afternoons when there are eggs in the schedule. Her
children like these eggs.
Have done little to nothing today and just mostly rested.
The knots Dava worked on yesterday are pretty sore today. Had a long ice pack
that Michelle Malay gave me and that hits just the right spots on my back. Who
knew that ice could make that much difference. Well, obviously, Michelle knew!
Hope her leg and new knee are feeling better by the day. Can’t imagine dealing
with pain like that!
Haven’t been on my computer today and don’t even want to
know whatever the latest “news” might be. Well, that is not completely true.
Turned on the computer to get to the lessons by Tom Bradford about Genesis
early this morning. One of the first things he posts is that whoever is going
through the lessons should read the chapters first. That is already completed,
so feel pretty sure my reading of Genesis is done for now. Still much to learn.
He talks about covenants between God and mankind. When God makes a covenant, it
is set in cement and can’t be removed. Cement isn’t even a good example since
God’s words are set in all of time, space, and spirit. Anyway, God’s words are
sure!

Reading a “who dun it” this evening. It is supposed to show
Ireland as much like England and their rainy weather. And the way their police
detectives seem to know everyone might be like one of our counties here in North
Texas. Not many strangers in this part of the world. Just south and east of us
is an entirely different ballgame! No one knows anyone in the DFW area! Oh
well. We don’t have constant rains in this part of the world either! Sigh.
We know that the earthquakes are continuing in Asia. Will be
glad when Max and Laisha get back from Japan. The World’s Fair is being held
there, so they will be plenty crowded right about now. But the kids are not
supposed to return to WF until the latter part of this month. Just in time for
hot weather! At least Laisha has been hired for a new position that will not
require her to be on 24-hour call. Maybe they will both get some sleep for a
change.
Let’s remember to pray for those who are ill and for those
who sorrow. Being a human is not always easy when we are so easily touched by pain
and sadness. Look to God for answers always.
Sleep well, my friends. You are loved.
