Tariffs?
Went down to Patty’s this morning and sprayed some stuff on
the weeds on the patio. Her step son said that he could not be here this
weekend to help with anything like that. It occurred to me that the weekend
after that is Easter, and you can almost bet they will have plans for that
weekend as well. Whatever. Anyway, the stuff needed to be sprayed now before it
gets as tall as my hind legs, so while the wind was not blowing a gale, the old
woman got it done, came home and stripped off all my clothes to throw in the
washer—including the sneakers, and had a hot shower. A little tiring, but felt
as if something got done.
Talked to Mary R today and gave her a couple of dozen eggs.
She told me she thought anyone having knee problems should just get the parts
replaced. She still has a husband at home and has no idea what it would be like
to not have anyone to take care of the critters and such. Guess we all have a
tendency to see situations from our own point of view.
Talked to Michelle Malay today. She sounds SO much better
since she got home from the hospital. She thinks her doctors were wonderful but
that the nursing situation at United Regional really lacks common sense. Yep.
Been there and seen everything that is quite lacking in the nursing area. So
sad. Anyway, glad to hear Michelle’s voice and hear her upbeat attitude.
Michelle mentioned Tami Yonts. All we can do is pray for her.
Have not seen any further updates since she went into ICU. Please pray that
they take good care of her and that she is healed from all the problems.
Everyone should be well aware that the pollen count right
now is sky high. Please take care of yourselves and keep the allergy meds
close. Or the Neti pot handy!
Remember to have an attitude of gratitude! It’s pretty hard
to feel sorry for yourself when you are saying thank you.
Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
