Springing Winds with Headaches to Grow!
As if the wind were not enough to live with at the moment,
the stuff IN the wind has made having a headache almost a surefire situation.
The weather report forecasted winds for Tuesday and Wednesday. Well, guess
maybe 20+ mph wind might not be enough for them to call this a windy day, but
it certainly feels windy to me. The wind from the last storm caught the siding
on the long chicken coop and started it tearing off. Can’t make up my mind
whether to go ahead and take that piece down or try to cover it up with plywood
instead. Have to figure that one piece torn off can only lead to another panel
tearing off in the wind as well. Argh!
Moved some hay bales early this morning and the hens
immediately discovered the worms. Now have a trench where the bales were
before. Those hens mean business! Too bad they can’t be harnessed to till up
dirt for a garden! But then, the garden would have to be covered in chicken
wire to allow growth. Oh well.
The dogs have been relatively happy today. Made them both
let me have the recliner for a change. If the old woman gets up, one or the
other of the dogs takes my place as sure as shooting! Both of them were on the
little bench earlier with hardly enough room to fit all the feet and legs! They
won’t get in the rocking chair, but that might change eventually. May have to
bring the bench Sterling made for me into the living room instead of having it
out on the deck. Love sitting out there, but it is simply too windy to enjoy
right now.
Woke up early this morning to let the hens out and right
away noticed that both my right knee and left hip were not hurting. Had to
praise God right then and there. Wonder if God ever gets a kick out of us. It
does seem like we expect things to happen and then are pretty doggone surprised
when they don’t.
Have tried to stay totally away from the computer or any
so-called “news” right now. The weather is one thing that can be totally off in
forecasts, but for some of these folks to tell tall tales just irritates me to
no end. Not anything an individual such as the old woman can do about all the
stupidity going on today. About what we all can do with any chance of
improvement would be to bow our heads in prayer. Only God can direct us or the
paths of history. Let us, for the time being, pray for God’s mercy on those in
the paths of storms or other terrors.
Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
