Drowsy Sleep Patterns.

So not sleeping last night has messed my sleep patterns up a bit. Have felt super drowsy all day. But maybe tomorrow that will change. Just need to get outside and get some exercise or something. It really was not a bad day--at least not cold--but misty earlier and not sunny at all. Did not get diddly squat done either inside or out, so no excuses because of the weather. Just bleah.

Saw a post by Ann Hunt that her shingles were affecting the sciatic nerve so that she is in intense pain from her hip to her foot. Lord! That has to be miserable. If my mind has not left me completely, Ann (Sullivan) was our last baby sitter before Mom gave up trying to work away from home. She was the sweetest person alive! Probably still is. Anyway, please remember her in your prayers. While this Covid crud is absolutely killing people, the other stuff is making life miserable, too. Jane Scott has had repeated treatments of all sorts for cancer, and it just keeps coming back or at least not going away. She has such a wonderful attitude that it just seems like it is not fair for her to be put through this kind of garbage. Shaking my head here.

Not sure what activity or lack thereof has caused my own brand of soreness, but Jennifer reminded me today to do the Dead Sea Salt bath in very hot water. It seemed to make me feel better for a bit. At least my allergies are not as bad. None of us is immune from the changes in weather and the barometer effects. Michelle Malay said her favorite knee is talking to her now. And then one of the dogs ran into her knee and made it go backwards! Dang! That smarts!

Collected ten eggs today, but may find a few more this evening. Or not. They lay better when they get sunshine and green grass. Looking forward to green anything right now! Don't even think mowing will bother me that much.

Did not get out to put any seed in the flower beds. Maybe tomorrow. Have some beet seeds that could go into the ground right now. But they still need to be covered--can't just throw them at the ground! Although, have planted wild flower seeds about like that a few times. And the seeds germinated and made flowers! Have poppy seeds of various types that need to be planted. They do well if planted in the winter for some reason. Oh, for the spring rains and flowers!

Made roast beef with brown gravy and some fake potatoes today for breakfast. Yes, that should be a lunch or supper, but had that on my feeble mind, so there! Plan to restock the freezer with frozen veggies and frozen meals that will last a while. Have canned food, but the meals are SO easy. Today's dinn-upper was a small can of peaches with cottage cheese. Earlier, the dogs shared a piece of smoked gouda with me. Lance made it, and it is great! Just have three little pieces left now. They are beginning to dry out a bit, so the dogs get the outside peel while yours truly eats the soft stuff.

Thinking of my friend who once came to pick me up to go do a Meals on Wheels run. Looked down in the little console area to find an orange all peeled and ready to eat. That is the kind of friends God gives us when we need them. NOT that the orange was so needed, but the thought behind it meant so much to me. That lady helped me get past those first few weeks after Lewis died. Can't ever have better friends than that.

Talked to Lance today and offered to run down to Bowie to take some eggs there and meet up with one of the kids. He finally answered and said that we shouldn't as the need for hugs would overcome common sense. He's right, of course. Could just squeeze the wee out of each one of my kids right now! Miss them so much. Guess this not being able to visit makes it worse than just normal. Not sure anything will ever be "normal" again. Dadgumit!

When trying to find something to watch on the Fire Stick thingy, each time it said something about not being able to access that channel. Guess a phone call to Jenn will tell me what the old woman is doing wrong. Still have BritBox on my laptop for a couple of months, but not going to renew it. Normally the FireStick does the trick. It's just me, no doubt. Oh well. Have plenty of books to read!

Someone said we need to keep the gasoline filled up before the price goes up. Guess tomorrow the gas cans will get filled before summer hits. If the hens can't keep the grass down, might have to get an alpaca--joking. Not sure they eat grass or something else. Oh well.

We are so blessed to have what we need and more. Let's do our part to make our own part of the world as good as our abilities and inclination can make it. God gives us great blessings, so we have greater responsibilities. To each his own talent.

Rest well and stay safe, my friends. You are loved.
