Muscles.

Ok, you know you have muscles when every other move reminds you that they are definitely T H E R E. Go figure. The weather must be going to change again. It was so nice and sunny today that the dogs had to share the couch with me for the sunshine coming in the living room windows. Ah, that felt good. Tried to actually take a nap. THAT didn't work. Do you know that dogs think they need to play if mom is lying down--just jump on her or have a tug of war over her body. No biggie.

Want you to know, the wind blows in Texas. And it has today. The UPS man said keeping the truck on the road was a job all by itself. But aren't we all grateful for UPS drivers! Well, and Amazon or Etsy. Now if we just had Amazon Fresh here in WF, it would be SO nice! Jennifer has it where she lives. But then, they have Kroger Stores down there. sigh

The Ostand kids got to enjoy the snow last week. Reece's friend came over and spent the night. Now the Ostand family is under quarantine. Joy to the world. sigh Gary has to do all his computer work from home; as does Jennifer. Not sure what Reece has to do since he was working in the shop with his dad and sometimes did shipping. For sure he won't be up there exposing anyone to any possible viruses. Lance JUST got to go back to work from being quarantined, and now the other side of the family has to stay at home.

Had fun picking out some masks to have sent to Lance and Tracy. His has Calvin and Hobbs and hers has a library with a cat in the shelves. Jennifer said she just bought some more material to make masks--Valentines and shamrocks. She enjoys that sort of thing like Sharon Dickerson does. Folks have come up with some of the cutest masks. Think Gary needs one for Darth Vader.

Boiled three eggs today. Had a hen just lay an egg on the ground! So, put that egg in the little nest box by the house and two more hens decided it was a good place to lay! So there! They are the funniest creatures in the world about where they decide to lay their eggs. One hen was forever laying on top of a shelf out in the coop. But another hen took over that spot for her nightly nap. Messed up the red hen's plans.

Sylvia wants to play keep away with one of the sharks, but when she brings it to me to play, here comes Thompson. She does not want to play with HIM, dang it. Oh well. He gets pretty rambunctious.

Sliced up the roast that cooked yesterday and put two slices each in ziplock bags for meals. Now have some avocados to mash up for guacamole. Wonder if that stuff can be frozen? Guess will just have to do a few at a time if possible rather than all at once. Still, love the stuff. But better not to eat a bushel and a peck or would have other problems. ahem

Dr. Blackwell said that the flu virus--the normal one--has been very light this year since everyone is trying to be careful, wash their hands, wear masks, etc. So at least one more thing good has come out of this mess--besides the help to the environment. Still, hate to see discarded masks just lying here and there. Makes me angry to see any kind of litter, but especially that kind. People can really be stupid.

Feeling so much less despondent today. Think the sunshine has definitely helped even though my stomach has still been giving me fits. Got some ginger beer that seems to be helping, too. It does not take an entire bottle to settle my stomach. And some sweet friends have been there with prayers and words of kindness. Thank you all. You will just have to pardon my temporary ignorance as staying off of FB, not reading the JP (Jerusalem Post), and other sources of "news" have kept me from being disturbed by whatever is going on. One can only do so much head shaking before something shakes lose up there.

Sylvia has found an old treat ball that was in her crate. She brought it to me like she expected something to be put inside. So now it has peanut butter in it. Her tongue is going to be sore at this rate. But she would REALLY like it if it were held for her. Not happening! She guards it as if it is something special. Silly dog.

Don't have much on my mind tonight--well, most of the time, for that matter. But we know that spring is just a couple of months away; God is on His throne; day still follows night. May each of you have peace and stay well. You are loved.
