Waving to the Birds!

Sylvia just accepted a little stuffed lamb instead of the microphone thing that was in a stuffed "squirrel." The dogs have been ready to tear up everything in sight today! Thompson had a red shark in the recliner that he decided to play with while Sylvia was playing with a rubber chew squeaker thing. She decided they needed to "play" keep away. That got pretty boisterous, so had to make them quit before it got serious. Thompson listens to me; Sylvia, not so much. Love these critters.  And they are not the least bit spoiled. ahem

Spoke with my granddaughter today and asked about the soccer tournament. The coach decided that the other teams were playing too rough and the weather was too cold, so he took Rachel's team out of the game. Rachel said she was SO ready to go home. Her mom had to clean her uniform bottom with peroxide because of the bloody turf burn on Rachel's hip. She is sore, to put it mildly. Don't think she will miss not playing all weekend. Told her that as much as her athleticism is to be admired, common sense says that running into other people while both are kicking--well, someone is going to get hurt.

Not sure just exactly why, but this has been a hard day. Not sure if it is the weather or the lack of contact with other people, but it feels as if the world is somewhere beyond my grasp. Guess if it gets any quieter out here, could always go driving somewhere. But even in one's own vehicle, we are by ourselves mostly. Human contact. It makes a difference. Guess sitting out on the lawn swing and waving at the pelicans flying over doesn't exactly fit the definition of making contact. Besides, it is still a bit cool today and probably won't get any warmer in the next few days. sigh January. Texas. Patience.

Don't know anything worth mentioning, so will just tell all of you that whatever comes along is going to move along eventually. God be with us and help us all to seek His face. You are loved.
